Rise up… don’t negotiate

Human existence is trapped in a mode of thought that creates all we see, and as long as we continue to think that we can change this reality using the same thinking, then of course we will keep seeing the perpetuation of insanity in different, more controlling, and harder to see through disguises.

  1. Gypsy says:

What more is there to say?

  2. BlessUsAll says:

There is, I believe, one thing more to say.

It is this: Until arrogant humans stop segregating animals (as in the “you are not cattle” line of this otherwise-intelligent call to lay down arms and hold hands), they will continue in the “us vs other” mentality. And will continue to kill.

Leo Tolstoy put it this way: “As long as there are slaughterhouses, there will be battlefields.”

And a simple prophet this way: “[W]hat is good, and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?” (Micah 6:8 KJV) Surely that sentiment applies as well to our treatment of bovine neighbors — and fellow-beings of all species.

    • Yes agreed re the “you are not cattle” comment. I do wince when I hear that, but I also see an advanced call for reason, especially given when this movie was made. Of course until we learn to free our minds, by expanding our realties, to have the ability to see the truth in all situations, then speciesism will continue, sexism will continue and racism will continue.

The abuse of animals simply highlights where we are at as a species, how our minds work and what we need to do to broaden our ability to think and feel… essential for the wellbeing of an individual and the collective expression of human consciousness.
